CHIIILD HANDS OFF ME
Chiiild has returned with their latest cut, ‘Hands Off Me’. Taken from their forthcoming Synthetic Soul EP, the tune is a groovy piece of modern, soulful R&B. Comparatively manic distorted guitar lines are interspersed between the laid-back, addictive falsetto vocals, while a lo-fi beat keeps the track moving forward like a relaxed Anderson .paak taking to the kit. The band claim to take equal influence from D’Angelo as they do Tame Impala, and they’re not wrong to do so; the subtle sound of psychedelic indie music is just as notable as the futuristic jazz and funk vibes layered throughout. Their CV boasts collaborations with the likes of Skrillex and Usher, while their fanbase grows bigger as every release grows stronger. -Dan Peeke
